We assist clients wishing to register a charity in England and Wales (with the Charity Commission))or Scotland (with OSCR). We can advise you on the most appropriate type of legal organisation which you require to set up a charity. There are 3 options:-

If you wish to incorporate a company limited by guarantee with your own charitable objects and use our standard memorandum and articles then fees are £85.50 (inclusive of Companies House fees and vat) We can incorporate the company within a day or so. If you wish to use your own memorandum and articles or have us draft bespoke memorandum and articles then please contact us for a fees estimate.

After you have set up the appropriate organization the second stage is to complete and submit the application to the Charities Commission if the charity is to be based in England or Wales or the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) if it is to be based in Scotland. Our fees for this are £250 plus vat of £43.75 making a total of £293.75

We also advise on criminal record checks where necessary and generally oversee the matter dealing with all correspondence from the Charities Commission or OSCR.We ensure your constitution gives authority to pay some directors if required and can advise on the procedure to be followed in fixing or reviewing directors remuneration.
